Why are there two Captium platforms?

IDEX is always working to keep up with the latest technology and provide the best possible service and reliability to our customers. We had the opportunity to improve our overall technology platform by duplicating the Captium experience that many customers know and love in a new environment. This enables IDEX to continue providing great service as well as build additional features and functionalities in the future, adding value to you.  

How do I know which platform is right for me?

Your onboarding guides – as well the information that comes with your tool or truck – will ensure you are directed to the right platform. After April 2025, all newly purchases tools and vehicles with Captium integrations will be hosted on the newer Captium platform by default. If you ever have specific questions, or are unsure of which platform you are supposed to be using, please reach out to one of our customer service managers via the online portal and we will be in touch!

Is the original Captium platform going away?

Eventually we will be shutting down our first Captium platform to ensure all of our customers are getting the latest and best Captium experience. IDEX will communicate ahead of time when this day will be, and for now there will be an overlapping period of availability for both platforms as we work to ensure the migration of your tools and trucks between the platforms is managed carefully .
